Related to the development of major transport projects in the territory, the Thai authorities have expressed their interest in organizing workshops on urban transport with the contribution of French expertise. The topics discussed during the seminars, whether it is technological means, in terms of choosing the most suitable mode or in terms of ITS, but also financial resources or even the links between urban planning and transport are all essential and necessary subjects in Thailand. The Phuket tram-train project being advanced to the level of feasibility study, the conclusions of the first workshops led to the formulation of a request for additional study on supporting the arrival of the mass transport project on the island and on the development of other complementary lines. DVDH conducted an exploratory study with counts, impact modeling on traffic and circulation, recommendations on urban integration in order to offer a complementary tram and cable network adapted to the geography of the territory and the mobility needs of the island.
