air pollution

Air quality

Since 2018, DVDH has partnered with Atmotrack, the world’s leading network of air quality micro-sensors, with the aim of raising awareness of air pollution and its link to mobility (traffic congestion, the importance of nature in cities, car-free urban areas, electrification of the vehicle fleet, etc.).

Low-carbon strategy

The low-carbon strategy is a fundamental aspect of the studies conducted by DVDH. We have developed expertise in assessing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions linked to urban mobility, comparing business-as-usual scenarios with post-project scenarios.

Gender isssue

Gender approach

In most countries, women and men do not have the same travel habits, whether in terms of the travel purpose, the mode of transport chosen, difficulties in getting around, etc. To meet women’s needs, we look at their lifestyle and its impact on their mobility, and we provide solutions through a plan specifically designed to improve their daily lives.

urbanisme tactique

Tactical urban planning

In direct application of the plans we develop, we implement tactical urbanism projects to demonstrate the impact of the proposed measures. These temporary projects are quick to implement and inexpensive. They are useful for raising awareness among the public and authorities about potential changes.

Systemic analysis and multidisciplinary approach

The DVDH team, like its network of collaborators, relies on expertise in engineering, urban sociology, geography, cartography, as well as architecture, urban planning and landscaping.

This enables us to approach projects from the perspective of mobility and urban planning, while also taking into account nature, the health of residents, the economy and individual lifestyles. This multidisciplinary approach guarantees the success of urban projects.

Conventional and alternative traffic modelling

DVDH uses traditional transport system demand forecasting software (CUBE, VISUM) as well as a simplified tool created by our teams using free programmes (Qgis, Excel). This limits the cost of acquiring the model for local authorities who wish to take ownership of their model at a later date.

Participatory process

To ensure that each study is a success, DVDH organises and conducts participatory workshops, drawing on the expertise of civil society actors, public institutions, economic actors, transport operators and academics, thereby consolidating a shared vision and a coherent project.

Attractive mapping

DVDH is committed to producing concept maps that enable better conceptualisation of territorial issues and proposed solutions. A picture is worth a thousand words!
