As part of the expansion of Casablanca’s dedicated public transport corridor network and the restructuring of the bus network – the operation of which was entrusted to a new operator, Alsa, in November 2019 – CasaTransport wishes to update the fare study for its entire public transport network.
The DVDH-SUEZ consortium had already carried out an initial study between 2017 and 2018, but it needs to be updated following changes to the organisation of the public transport network: the bus network is now under the responsibility of the operator Alsa; a new tram line (T2) has been opened; certain structural changes to the network planned for 2022 and 2025 must be taken into account. In addition, four new dedicated public transport lanes are expected to open between 2022 and 2024 (T3 and T4 for the tramway, L5 and L6 for the BRT). New data is also available on usage levels for the T1 and T2 tram lines and the bus network, as well as on the preferred travel tickets of network users.
