Sandra Monsalve is a civil engineer specialising in public transport policies and systems, with degrees from ENSTA ParisTECH and the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. She worked for four years as a railway consultant, assisting French and international authorities in the design of their train and metro projects. She developed preliminary operating plans with system dimensions and functional specifications. She then joined the French Development Agency in Mexico, where she managed the ‘mobility, energy and urban development’ portfolios. She was particularly interested in assessing the environmental, social and economic impacts of operations.
Now a member of the DVDH team, Sandra specialises in data collection and analysis, modelling and transport demand estimation. Having participated in numerous international projects, particularly in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, Sandra Monsalve has knowledge of a variety of cultural and organisational contexts. She is fluent in French, Spanish, Portuguese and English.
