The project to develop a national urban mobility policy in Ecuador, launched by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) and the Ministry of the Environment of Ecuador (MAE), has obtained funding from the Euroclima+ program of the European Union (EU). The French Development Agency (AFD) has been designated by the EU to support the Ecuadorian government in implementing these funds.
In this context, the launch workshop of NUMP, entitled “Towards a new national policy for urban mobility in Ecuador”, was held on 30 and 31 January 2018 in Quito. A total of 140 participants worked on the fundamental axes that will have to be taken into account in the development of the Ecuadorian NUMP.
DVDH was in charge of the facilitation techniques, the animation of the seminar and group work, and the provision of technical elements to guide the discussions. DVDH also oversaw the logistical organisation of the event and drafted the roadmap for the development of the NUMP, with the 40 priority actions that were highlighted during the seminar.
