The construction of the tramway is part of a larger project to build a primary metropolitan public transport network combining Geneva Regional Express Transport (RER) and tram lines. While Saint-Julien and the surroundings municipalites are currently mainly served by a secondary railway line and by line D, one of several suburban bus lines without direct access to the center of the agglomeration, the implementation of this structuring network makes it possible to radically change the situation. With the implementation of the Geneva RER project and the extension of current tramway lines, Saint-Julien will indeed be served by one of the major axes of the metropolitan public transport network.<\/p>\n
